Good Housekeeping top 10 toys for Christmas 2016

Good Housekeeping UK Xmas toy list
The UK's grande dame magazine decided not to chose the top toys for 2016. Instead, they asked 120 junior school pupils aged 6-11 to select their favourites and score them out of 10. We've shown the final scores which are out of 100. And here they are! |
- Snuggles My Dream Puppy - 97/100
- Nerf N-Strike Modulus Tri-Strike Blaster - 94/100
- WowWee CHIP - 93/100
- Lego City Volcano Exploration Base - 91/100
- Star Wars The Force Awakens RC BB-8 - 83/100
- Tiny Treasures Newborn Open Eye Girl - 70/100
- Captain America Marvel Civil War Blaster Reveal Shield - 69/100
- The Lion Guard Defend the Pride Lands Playset - 58/100
- Finding Dory Change and Chat Hank - 57/100
- Paw Patrol Air Patroller - 30/100
The results - our view
The most interesting result for us wasn't the winner - Snuggles is a very attractive and interactive toy - but the low score for the Paw Patrol Air Patroller toy. It seems the lack of features apart from the lights and sounds counted against it, with Sherys, aged 9 saying "It doesn't really do anything". So, if this is your first Paw Patrol purchase for your child, it might be a good idea to add in some Paw Patrol figures so there's more to play with for a longer time.
The Finding Dory Change and Chat Hank toy doesn't appear on any other toy list this year, so it's good to see something different, even if it doesn't get the highest score.
