Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure from Activision
Now an old favorite is back in a new way and gamers everywhere are prepared to take on the challenge.
Anyone who's active in the game world knows what it takes to keep a legend alive - to change, to adapt to its environment - and that's exactly what Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure from Activision has done well.
This is a new, innovative approach to gameplay that you aren't going to want to miss. This is a game hailed as a cross platform adventure for gamers. You can use it on your Xbox, your Playstation system and more.
Don't have either of those? No big deal - then just play the game on your Wii or on your Nintendo. Staying around the office for your lunch break but want a game to play? You can also play using the Windows operating system. How cool is that to be able to play the game on such a multitude of devices?
Spyro's Adventure Just Got Better
The Skylanders figures get life breathed into them when players enter through the Portal of Power (and this portal is on any of the platforms they use). No matter which platform you use, the Skylander figure remains in the level and at the skill it was when your play was interrupted.
So basically the Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure from Activision is an incredibly mobile game that doesn't get pigeonholed into one platform. Brilliant thinking on Activion's part to make the game so accessible. This is a story driven game (those are always the kind of games kids like best) and the game is so well made and fun to play that kids will also want the collectible figurines that go along with the game.
In the game, kids get to become a virtual Portal Master and can interact with numerous characters (all the good guys of course). These good guys are in charge of keeping Skylands safe. The Skylands is a fictional virtual world under the sinister thumb of Kaos, who is a Portal Master, too. He's done his dirty work and kicked the Skylanders out of their home world.
The game players of Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure from Activision are the toys' only hope in getting back where they belong and having order restored to their world. During the battle for justice, gamers will get to go through lands too magical to describe, fight creatures that stir fear in even the bravest of Heroes, find the goods and bring the rightful ones back to Skylands. It's a tough gig, but all in a day's game work!
Like this top Christmas toy, but want something more active? How about a Hot Wheels Wall Track instead?
